DEAR COLLEAGUES AND CLIENTS

9 April 2020

We are standing by to assist you.

As we tick off the second week of the 21 day national lock down, some of us find ourselves in our new home-work environments and others in a changed work space.

The literature suggests that we experience the second stage of loss as a state of numbed disbelief. I am sure we can all relate to this emotion during this time of change.

We thank our FACTS Team members that continue to provide you with laboratory testing during this time: Hestie Tredoux, Marlouw Engelbrecht, Angelique Smit and Kim van Vuuren.

If you would like to get to know them better, find their profiles here.

The rest of the team are home-work based and available to support you with your projects.

To our Christian clients and colleagues, we wish you a happy Easter with your family.

To our Jewish clients and colleagues, wishing you the best for Passover.

Regards,
The FACTS team

With shortages of ingredients, lack of resources and the impact on global trade, this is certainly not the time to lower our guard.

It is important that you have all the relevant regulations and the applicable amendments on hand, to ensure that the information you are basing your practice on is correct. You can view the regulation and the subsequent first and second amendments here.

These droplets may be transferred to healthy individuals through direct contact – or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching the mouth, nose or eyes. What is the potential risk in food production facilities? Is there a concern for food and food packaging? And does the virus remain viable for longer on certain surfaces?
